There were a few things I wanted to do before leaving Okinawa. One of those things was to go out fishing on a boat again. A and I were invited to join Shacho (from the car shop) and his friends for a day of Gurukun Fishing. We headed out from Ginowan Marina at about 8am on a hot and sunny day.

[My world for 8 hours!!]
[My first Fish]
I started the day off well by catching a Gurukun right away. I wish I had been able to keep on catching them but my luck ran out after this first fish. In 8 hours I think I caught 4 fish..... NOT GOOD.
[Shacho with his Gurukun]
The old dudes we were fishing with had MUCH better LUCK than me and reeled in about 30 fish EACH! No fair! いんちき!
「Fish need Love too]
[Some Gurukun]
[An Assortment + A Mibai]
The colours of the fish are so amazing and unlike anything that you see in Canada!
ReplyDeleteHave you cooked and eaten them?
Or maybe I should say...have you eaten them yet...cooked or not.
ReplyDeleteWe still have not eaten them.... Every time I open the freezer I see them in there looking quite pitiful. Hopefully we will cook them up before we leave for Canada :)
